Blooming in the mid winter

I found many camellia flowers are blooming in my neighbor.
I don't like cold winter since I feel the cold easily and everything might looks grey and dark even in daylight. But the flowers can make me feel warm.

Hi Takaeko; I know what you mean. In Winter time we need something colourful to cheer us up occasionally. That's why I planted my Winter-flowering cherry tree. Unfortunately many of the blossoms were killed by the very severe weather we had at Christmas time, so this year the tree doesn't look very impressive. I'll have to make do with the Dogwood instead!

How we love cooler climate especially when the sun is sending down bullets of sunrays....

Beautiful flower. We don't have a long, cold winter here, but I can understand how you feel about the colour cheering you up. There's nothing like a blooming flower to lift the spirits.

Beautiful camelias Takaeko to cheer you up in the wintery cold. Here is rainy season, even the sun is shying away, so gloomy and wet!

Takaeko, thank for visiting my blog! I hope you make another trip to Hawaii soon! I'm from Kauai, which you said you visited before. I've been to Japan twice and I love it there! It's always an adventure. I was in Osaka on my first trip to Japan. Beautiful camelias!!

The camellias are beautiful, I wish I could grow some in our climate.
How cold does it get in Osaka?

Hi, Mac! Thank you for visiting my blog!
We are facing severely cold winter in Japan as well as in the States. It is less snow in Osaka where I live but the temperature is about 5C high and -2C.
