It's still so warm in Osaka even in the middle of October that I can seed Komatsuna in a part of the ridge where egg-plant trees were.
I expanded insect screen to maximum length to cover the part of the komatuna since cabbage butterflies are still seen and I have to prevent them from laying eggs on the leaves.

Although November is coming soon temperature in Osaka is still around 15~22C.
I believe my komatuna can grow sooner.
My cabbages are still intact while my chinese cabbages (hakusai) are fed a little bit by hornworms.
Good luck with your Komatsunas! I am still planting a few more as well. The other ones I sowed grew well on this cold days, I am sure yours will too.

Happy to hear your komatuna's grown well.
Today temperature of all over Japan has down suddenly and I wonder my komatuna can germinate.
But this cold temperate can make hakusai(Chinese cabbage)'s leaves roll.
I believe my winter vegetables have been waiting for the cold weather.
