Now I'm very happy that you can see many fruits of my black chili in the photos shown below!
Today I harvested a bunch of my black chili successfully and they still have many flowers and buds so I can expect that they can be productive in a few mouths.

After harvesting them, I cooked the black chilies with sliced sausages and green beans.
It's very interesting that my black chilies have turned "green" as they were grilled! I don't know what the mechanism. The taste of black chili is not hot but is like that of okras. Anyway, yummy!

Mark thinks if the chillis taste like Okra they are not to his liking - I hate Okra!
Takaeko, it is great to see that your black chillis have made it to a successful harvest. A very interesting experiment.
Lots of so-called black or purple veg turn green when cooked , such as purple-podded Frech Beans. I'm guessing that your chillis were not very hot if you ate 20 all in one meal.

My chillies turned black instead of red but they are not your black chillies, I think maybe they are lack of some important nutrients or just turned rotten! Though your black chillies look hot but if they taste like okra, Id prefer the normal chillies!
