Harvesting in a rainy day

I had a plan to harvest all of my potatoes today but seasonal rain (梅雨/Tsuyu) didn't allow me to do that and I had to wrap up today's work in my garden with harvesting just 5 cucumbers.
I get worried about my potatoes in soil because if they are left in soil with a lot of water, they can be easily rotten or infected with disease.

I believe the best way to enjoy taste of fresh vegetables is eating sliced or cut ones with simple seasoning like "cucumber-sticks" with mayonnaise. Now I'm drinking highball and the cucumber-sticks go well with sparkling alcohol....

The little cucumbers are really delicious, aren't they? Probably even better than full-grown ones. A bit of garlic in the mayonnaise would probably make them perfect! What sort of highball did you drink?

Looks great! I plan to grow cucumbers next year because I really like them a lot. And the skinnier one (like the Japanese or English cucumbers) are not cheap here. Enjoy your harvest!

Those cucumber sticks do look fresh and delicious even with a pinch of salt!

I agree with you, Mark. Young and little cucumbers are more crispy and delicious than bigger ones. Garlic in mayonnaise is very new to me! I'll try it soon. Highball which I usually drink is mixture of soda and ordinary whiskey produced in Japan. I remember my grandfather enjoyed Chivas Regal.

Well, I believe growing cucumber is easy if you can water them properly. Good luck!

Yes! Salt goes well with cucumbers, I believe! I usually pickled sliced cucumbers with salt.
