Tropical flowers in Taketomi island.

I found many tropically colorful flowers in the island and I'm happy if you like them...

Great photos of some very beautiful flowers. I recognise Lantana, Hibiscus, Bougainvillea etc. We used to have those in Hong Kong where I once lived. Photographing the butterflies must have taken you a long time -- they seldom stay still for very long.

Thank you for identifying those flowers. I believe you have tons of knowledges in that field. I failed so many times to take photos of butterflies since they flew away as I got closer to them and they didn't stay on a flower for long time. Actually I erased so many failed photos out of my digital camera....

Takaeko; here is your excuse to buy an even better camera, with a big telephoto lens so that you can photograph creatures from a long distance away, without disturbing them! I have remembered the name of the bright blue flower now: it is Morning Glory (Convulvulus).

Well, I wonder if that excuse can overcome my personal financial issue...

Here everything is grey and drab so it is nice to see such exotic and beautiful flowers.

Wonderful pics.
Not sure if the one pic is a pot or maybe a stepping stone.

Thank you very much for being part of the carnival! and contributing with two plants.
All the flowers look amazing. I especially like the little ones floating on the water

Although we have some varieties of hibiscus that will grow outside as shrubs - the ones like those in your photos we grow as house plants. I have two on my windowsill that have flowered on and off for several years.

Those flowers floating in water are delightful! So many bright colours, very different from what we have in Canada.

Those are beautiful flowers : )
I wish we had a more moderate climate here to grow some of them !
Your garden must be a wonderful retreat .. we need that every once in a while don't we ? LOL

The colours are wonderful. It is cold and snowy here so it is good to see such lovely flowers. I grow some of them over here but they have to go under cover in a greenhouse during our winter.

Such beautiful flowers... I'm familiar with some but not all so it was great seeing something I'd not seen before! L

>Everyone
I'm overwhelmed with many bloggers from many countries visiting my blog and leaving warm comments! Thank fer for holding the carnival in his blog which gave me opportunity to see much many gardening bloggers in the world!
Actually these flowers photos were taken in Taketomi island, Okinawa when I tripped there but not in my own garden.
I'll visit other bloggers who visited my blog one by one and hope we can exchange ideas in gardening!
