I am very happy to see my komatunas have germinated.
I've been worried about delay of the germination since I seeded them 2 weeks ago.

It's too early for me to judge if my komatunas will be successful or not but I can not help thinking why only a few of them have germinated.
I'm seeking causes of the germination delay through the Internet and books,,,.

I found that when the weather gets cooler it takes a bit longer for komatsuna seeds to germinate than usual. But it is more hardy than other asian leaf vegetables. How do you make pickled komatsuna?

Thank you for your advice.
Yeah, I think this cold weather might delay the germination. What I have to do is to wait for a while.
Now my wife is on her job so I'll ask her the recipe of pickled komatuna.
I am sure they will sprout fine, but just in case you can try setting some more just in case. I found komatsunas to be one of the most hardy plants i have seen, mines germinated right away and they survived a lot of rain and wind from the typhoon
