Red and green pepers

My green papers have been turning red.

It's a time to harvest them but the HOT MELTING temperature(100F in Osaka!) in this summer could make vege trees week and tired and delay our preparation of autumn-winter vegetables such as cabbages and white radishes.

Big cucumber

I could not notice a cucumber was left and eventually it has grown too much!!
Fortunately the big cucumber has been cut into some sticks and we could enjoyed them with dipping  them with mayonnaise.

flog on a break

A tree frog saw my son watering veges in my garden.

I have found various kinds of creatures in my garden such as frogs, dragonflies and so on.

I believe increasing such creatures shows my garden has been mature and nutritious.

My son on duty

My son is so reliable that I can leave watering veges to him.

It's a pleasure for me not only to see my son's grown enough to leave jobs in my garden but to see him feel delight when he harvests and eats veges which we have raised.

I hope that his experiences in raising veges in my garden will be the base on which he will think and learn environmental issues in his near future.

Testing my digital camera for shooting underwater.

I use a digital camera for shooting photos and videos of my farming garden and our daily life.
It has a so nice feature that it is a water-proof and can be usable even underwater!!

Our trip to Shirahama beach was a good opportunity for testing that function and the footages are clearer than I thought.

Seafood party!!

My family enjoyed Sashimi (sliced raw sea bream and lobster)!!

Our summer vacation

I took 1 week summer holiday and our family visited Shirahama, which is a summer famous tourism spot in the southern part of Kansai district.

We enjoyed swimming and suntanning ourselves on  the beach as the photo shows.

A big Japanese spiny lobster was cooked into Sashime (raw sliced lobster ) and served on our dinner table! My biggest pleasure in trips is eating delicious foods...Oh...yummy!!

Beautiful flower of Okra

A flower of Okra has been seen lately, whose colors and shape can let me think it must be the most beautiful flower among all vegetables.

It's not only the beauty of the flower which can make me happy but its taste of Okra can be enjoyed in Japan especially in a hot summer.

I also raise okra and some beautiful flowers have been shown lately.
Okra is very popular vegetable in Japan.
We slice them and toss them in a bowl adding soysauce vinegar.
